Understanding Food Labels

Protein:
This is a good thing you should want in your diet. It is used to improve your muscle. This contains 4 calories per gram ( carbs as well ), while fat contains 9 calories per gram. Please note calories is the critical factor which controls your weight, i.e. if you consume more calories than your consumption, you’ll get weight and vice versa. It can be get from beans, turkey, chicken, meat, fish and nuts.

Fat:
There are 4 types of fat, 2 of which has very bad effects on health while other 2 don’t. Saturated fat and trans fat have bad effects while polysaturated and monosaturated don’t. You’ll saturated and trans fat from junk food, chips oils etc.

Carbs:
There are two types of carbs: good and bad. Dietry fibre are good, while sugars are bad.
